Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RXlingo browser extension, website, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by See From Afar Vision LLC (“RXlingo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

RXlingo is a browser extension and companion website that turns the posts you already read on X (Twitter) into short, real-world English reading practice. It provides in-context translation, explanations, vocabulary lookups, pronunciation (text-to-speech), and background context, without requiring you to leave the page you are reading. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time as we improve the Service.

2. Plans & features

The Service is offered through a free plan and a paid subscription plan (“RXlingo Pro”).

Free

• Core in-context reading assistance on X, including translation and basic word lookup.
• A limited total number of AI-assisted uses (for example, translation, explanations, vocabulary, and text-to-speech), subject to fair-use caps that we may adjust. These free uses are counted cumulatively and do not reset each day.

RXlingo Pro

• Higher or unlimited usage of AI-assisted explanations, vocabulary, and text-to-speech, subject to fair-use limits designed to prevent abuse.
• Access to premium features as they are released to Pro subscribers.

The specific features and limits included in each plan are described on our pricing page and within the product, and may be updated from time to time. Where a change would materially reduce a paid feature you are actively paying for, we will provide reasonable notice.

3. Pricing

RXlingo Pro is available on the following subscription terms:

Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any taxes, which may be added where required by law. We may change our prices from time to time; any price change will apply only to future billing cycles, and where required we will notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

4. Billing & auto-renewal

When you subscribe to RXlingo Pro:

• Payment is charged when you subscribe. Your selected payment method is charged through our payment processor when you subscribe. Pro features are enabled once we receive confirmation of your payment from the processor, which usually happens shortly after checkout.
• Your subscription renews automatically. Unless you cancel, your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period — monthly for the monthly plan, or annually for the annual plan — and your payment method is charged the then-current price for that plan.
• Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. You authorize us and our processor to store your payment details and charge them for each renewal until you cancel.
• If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and/or suspend or downgrade your access to Pro features until payment is successfully made.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. To cancel, use the subscription management link in your account or in the confirmation email for your purchase, or email us at hello@rxlingo.com and we will help you.

• Cancelling stops future renewal charges. It does not, by itself, trigger a refund of amounts already charged.
• After you cancel, you keep access to Pro features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. At the end of that period your account reverts to the free plan.

6. Refunds

Subscription fees are non-refundable, except in cases such as duplicate charges or billing errors, or where a refund is required by law. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund amounts already paid; you keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. Full details, including how to request a refund and expected timelines, are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Immediate performance and right of withdrawal (EU / EEA / UK)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract for a digital service. When you subscribe, you request that we begin providing RXlingo Pro immediately. Where you have expressly consented to that immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, the withdrawal right no longer applies once the service has started. This does not affect refunds required by applicable law, or the exceptions described above (such as duplicate charges or billing errors).

7. Account & eligibility

• You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date, and not to impersonate any person or entity.
• Each subscription is for your personal use. You may not resell, sublicense, or share paid access with others outside the terms we offer.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to attempt to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or the terms of any platform (including X) on which the Service operates.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape at scale, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or circumvent usage limits, security, or access controls.
• Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure, including through automated queries, bots, or excessive requests beyond normal personal use.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its AI output without our written permission.
• Use the Service to generate, store, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.

We may impose reasonable technical limits to protect the Service and may throttle, suspend, or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates this section.

9. Accuracy of AI output

RXlingo uses automated and AI-based systems to produce translations, explanations, definitions, pronunciations, and background context. This output is generated automatically and:

• may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or contextually wrong;
• is provided for language-learning and informational purposes only; and
• is not professional translation, legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such.

You are responsible for evaluating the accuracy and suitability of any output before relying on it. We do not warrant that AI output will be error-free.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos, and content we create, is owned by See From Afar Vision LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The content you read through the Service (for example, third-party posts) belongs to its respective owners.

11. Third-party services

The Service operates alongside third-party platforms and services (such as X and our payment processor). We are not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their terms, and your use of them is governed by their own agreements. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. or any third-party platform.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where we terminate without cause and you have prepaid for a period you can no longer use, we will provide a pro-rated refund for the unused portion, unless the termination results from your breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any AI output will be accurate or reliable.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, See From Afar Vision LLC and its owners, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which See From Afar Vision LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law grants you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
